The Path of Distinction in Medical Education Learning Community is a group of medical students interested in furthering their knowledge and skills in medical education. It’s an opportunity for educationally-minded students to meet, build community and support one another as future teachers and leaders in academic medicine. The Learning Community meets at least three times per semester, providing opportunities to increase knowledge of medical education practice, network with medical education faculty, and explore career options. Meetings are facilitated by students, faculty or staff and include workshops, panels, guest speakers, and other activities.
Goals of the Learning Community Events
- Increase knowledge of medical education practice
- Network with medical education faculty
- Develop supportive network with other students interested in medical education
- Explore career options in medical education
